Very happy with the service

“We asked Mr Northage to install a new boiler for us when our old one died. He carried out the work professionally and with minimal disturbance to us. He also adjusted our heating for us and now we have heat in radiators that have never before worked. We were very happy with his service and will use him again.”

Mrs Taylor - Cobham

Gas Appliances

Boilers and other gas appliances need to be installed properly and require regular servicing and testing to ensure they remain safe to use and efficient to run.

Most manufacturers recommend a service interval of 12 months, and if gas appliances are fitted in a property that is rented out, there is a legal requirement to have a safety check every year.

New installations, servicing, breakdowns and Landlord gas safety checks are all part of our service. We are on the Gas Safe Register, our registration number is 539899. Check our certification on the Gas Safe Website.

Carbon Monoxide Safety Information

Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon monoxide is a highly poisonous gas. You can’t see it, taste it or smell it but it can kill quickly with no warning.

We always recommend you fit an audible carbon monoxide alarm. It should be marked to EN 50291 and also have the British Standards’ Kitemark or another European approval organisation’s mark on it. Fit it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Be vigilant, check for warning signs that your gas appliances are not working correctly, e.g. lazy yellow flames, black marks or stains around the appliance and too much condensation in the room.

Remember the six main signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning:

  1. 1. headaches
  2. 2. dizziness
  3. 3. nausea
  4. 4. breathlessness
  5. 5. collapse
  6. 6. loss of consciousness.

If in any doubt let us carry out a safety check for you.
